Rowen Concepcion Rowen Concepcion is a graduate student here at CSUSB. He will be graduating on Friday, June 13, 2014 with a Master's degree in computer science. Ashylnne Macan’s journey through success
By Koby Heramil | Staff Writer | Ashylnne Macan will be a great addition to the graduating class of 2013. She will graduate with a bachelors in Mass Communication and Public Relations. She chose CSUSB because it was close to home, but she quickly became involved with the clubs that the campus had to offer. As a sister of Delta Sigma Chi Coed Fraternity Inc., Ashylnne has done her fair share in contributing her time and energy to the fraternity. She has held numerous positions, but most importantly she was president during 2010-2011. Mother-daughter duo shine at CSUSB
By Gabbie Corral |Staff Writer| Kimley Jones and her daughter, Kourtney, have been attending CSUSB together for the last five years and have been loving every minute of it. They will both graduate together this June—Kimley with a master’s degree in education and Kourtney with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. “I love that even though [CSUSB] is a decent-sized campus, it’s still like a small campus because the professors have been so nice to me and they know who I am. I love that personal touch,” said Kimley when asked what her favorite thing about being a student was. A college degree should equal a better future
By Aunjolay Lambert |Staff Writer| Is the value of college decreasing? A recent study by The Huffington Post found that 53 percent of bachelor degree holders were jobless last year. As a student with no job, trying to make a career out of a liberal arts education, this is not something I want to hear when I’m one year away from graduation. This problem is something that presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been speaking about on the campaign trail as well.
