By Erika Aguilar |Staff Writer| 11/20 San Bernardino Police Seek Man Who Kidnapped Woman Police are investigating a carjacking and kidnapping of a woman that begun at the St. Bernardino's Medical Center parking lot. After finishing her shift at the medical center, the woman was approached by a man who was carrying a knife and forced her to get inside the car with him, according to authorities. The suspect then dropped off the woman at IHOP in Rancho Cucamonga with no injuries and police were able to find her car yet it is unclear weather the suspect was arrested. Woman finds bag of cocaine inside granola bar Cynthia Rodriguez reported that a bag of cocaine fell from the wrapper of a Nature Valley granola bar she purchased. North Korea releases hostages
By Yara Del Rio-Dominguez |Staff Writer| Americans detained in North Korea have been released back into the United States (U.S.) after being sentenced to six years of hard labor. Both Kenneth Bae, 46, former Lynwood resident, and Matthew Todd Miller, 24, a Bakersfield resident, are the last two Americans detained in North Korea, according to CNN. “The charges for which Miller and the other detained U.S. citizens were arrested and imprisoned would not give rise to arrest or imprisonment in the U.S.,” said spokesman Darby Holladay. By Courtney Sims |Staff Writer| Twelve Immigrant Youth Coalition (IYC) protestors were arrested on Jan. 24, outside of City Hall in San Bernardino during a sit-in called “Undocumented and Unafraid.” Of the 12 arrested, 10 may face deportation. Protestors sat-in in front of the Department of Homeland Security’s field office and Downtown City Hall to protest the treatment of undocumented residents. “No papers, no fear.
