By Daleth Quintanilla |Staff Writer| Terrorism and oppression are just a few misconceptions of Muslims who adorn the hijab; 101 students this week may have experienced these misconceptions firsthand. CSUSB’s Muslim Association challenged students, Muslim or not, to step into the shoes of Muslim women. Anyone who participated in the challenge was welcome to speak at the panel, led by Dr. Dany Doueiri and CSUSB students Ranea Al-Tikriti and Alia Abuelhassan, held on October 29. By Megan Spencer |Staff Writer| The Santos Manuel Student Union’s (SMSU) Women’s Resource Center presented the “Muslim and Arab Women” event demonstrated by professor of Communication, Ahlam Muhtaseb on Tues. Feb. 19 in the SMSU Theater. She discussed the common misconceptions about all Arab and Muslim women being the same. She explained that Muslim is a religion and Arab is a race. By Eric Brown |Managing Editor| The Libyan road to revolution has been marred by bloodied conflict, corruption and distrust but with the capture and death of former dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, the state of civil war seems to have officially reached an end. While official fighting has been over for some weeks now, Gaddafi has remained elusive since the toppling of his regime.
