By Aimee Villalpando |staff writer| Link Discovered Between Climate Change and Violence (10/23/14) The National Bureau of Economic Research reviewed 55 different studies and discovered a link between the rising violence and climate change. Researchers explained, “deviations from moderate temperatures and precipitation patterns systematically increase the risk of conflict, often substantially, with average effects that are highly statistically significant.” Only 6 Northern White Rhinos Left in Existence (10/19/14) Suni, a 34-year-old Northern White Rhino male, recently died from unknown causes in a wildlife conservancy in Kenya, leaving only six left.
