photo 1Summer break is around the corner and with extra time on your hands, you can create a classic cookie recipe that’s better than grandma’s.

Recipes for a wide variety of cookies can be found on sites like Pinterest, but these cookie recipes are often time consuming and sometimes difficult to make.

This recipe is simple, cheap, and quick. All of the ingredients are always available, easy to find, often on sale and can be purchased for less than $10.

“These cookies are the best cookies that I have ever had,” said student David Loomis.

To make these cookies, you will need the following:

Cake Mix of your choice (I used a spice cake)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
Chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, walnuts, oatmeal, and whatever else you want to put in the cookies.
Hand Held Mixer
Cookie Sheet
Spatula
Two teaspoons

The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350
Add 1/2 cup vegetable oil, and two eggs into mixing bow
Mix eggs and oil for 1 minute.
Add the cake mix and mix until all of the mixture makes a nice dough.

Step 2: Add chocolate chips, walnuts, and any other ingredient that you want to have in your cookies. Once the ingredients are all mixed together to dough consistency, take the 2 spoons and form little balls with the dough.

Step 3: Once the ball is formed on the spoon. place it on the cookie sheet with about one inch apart, to allow for the cookies to expand. If possible, about a dozen cookies can fit on the cookie sheet.

Step 4: Place the cookies in the preheated oven.
Bake the cookies for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. If you want, you can poke them or test them to make sure they are thoroughly cooked.

Step 5: Remove cookies from the oven and place them on cooling racks or on a dish to cool.
Once cookies are cool, grab a class of milk and enjoy.

The directions are quick and easy. They take about 30 minutes in total from start to finish. Each batch of cookies makes approximately two dozen, depending on how big you make each cookie.

You can add anything you want to the cookies, whether it be chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, or oatmeal. The possibilities are endless and taste delicious.

Cookies are a staple at family get-togethers, picnics, and days at the beach. This recipe will make any gathering a hit.

You don’t need to be a professional baker to make these tasty morsels. All you need is a few ingredients and a little bit of time.
