www.comingsoon.net“The Wedding Ringer,” directed by Jeremy Garelick, staring Kevin Hart and Josh Gad hit movie theaters Jan. 16.

This action/comedy/romance film is a must see with everyone’s favorite comedian Hart.

The film, which is rated R, with a clever plot, made $7 million on opening day.

Sweet but socially awkward Doug Harris (Gad) happens to be two weeks away from marrying his dream girl, Gretchen Palmer (Kaley Cuoco) when he happens to run into some major issues. He has no groomsmen.

After failing multiple times when trying to contact old acquaintances, he has no choice but to lie to his fiancé and make up seven names along with seven groomsmen.

Short on time, Doug happens to cross Jimmy Callahan (Hart), which is the owner and operator of Best Man Inc., a company that provides services for friendless people like Doug, that are desperate for a best-man as well as groomsmen on their wedding days.

“It was a very funny movie with a lot of crude humor,” said student Jacky DeAntunano. “Kevin Hart and Josh Gad work extremely well together in the film. There are rated-R scenes containing nudity, drugs, and alcohol but it was all comedy that I enjoyed.”

The on-screen chemistry Hart and Gad give the audience makes for an enjoyable film. They make a phenomenal team.

yahoo.comAs Doug and Jimmy work together to put his wedding party together in a short amount of time, a bromance is born between the two, although Jimmy clearly says “strictly business” as soon as Doug hires him.

“Just knowing Kevin Hart was in the film already made it funny,” said student Ropina Haddad. “Kevin Hart is my fav!”

There is a little bit of multiple genres in this film, romance clips with Doug and his fiancé, action clips that involve Jimmy and Doug, and then, of course, comedy that is throughout the entire film.

With Hart being in this film, it makes it more enjoyable for us college students here at CSUSB, seeing how he has visited our campus twice already.

In the end, Doug ends up realizing Gretchen is not the one for him and Jimmy befriends Doug, which is something he never does with people he works for, which made for a surprising ending.

Although a majority of the reviews for this film were not positive ones, I personally thought this film was nothing less than hilarious. I was laughing out loud the entire time along with everyone else that was in the movie theater with me.

“I like to see every film Kevin Hart stars in. I’m a huge fan and he did not disappoint,” said student Adrian Carlos. “I’d go watch it again.”

I hope to see a part two in the near future with both Hart and Gad.

Overall, if you want to get a good laugh in, “The Wedding Ringer” is the movie to watch!
