Coyotes get romantic for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is approaching and CSUSB students are preparing to impress their Valentines with cute dates and good music.

Students tell us what they are planning for their Valentine and give some examples of songs to dedicate to their special someone on that special day.

“This Valentine’s Day I’m going to eat chocolates and buy my mom flowers. If I had a Valentine this year I would dedicate her ‘There’s a Moon out Tonight’ by The Capris.”

-Roy Ramirez, Business in Accounting, third year student

“There’s a lot of good songs for Valentine’s Day but if I had to choose my favorite it’d be ‘I’m Yours’ by Jason Mraz. This year I’m going to be spending my Valentine’s Day at a rave called Crush.”

-Valarie Zometa, Business in Accounting, third year student

“I don’t have plans for Valentine’s day yet, I’m waiting for it to get closer to make plans but honestly in my relationship it’s Valentine’s day every day. We’re most likely going to do something bigger for spring break. I would dedicate ‘All of Me’ by John Legend to my Valentine.”

-Micheal Mejia, Sociology, third year student

“I’m going to work but when I’m off work I’m going to get my Valentine flowers and take her to the view. I’d most likely dedicate her ‘Mi Razon de Ser’ by Banda MS.”

-Eduardo Ramirez, Accounting, third year student

“Sushi date at the Santa Monica Pier is what I’ll be doing with my Valentine. I’m also going to buy her a giant teddy bear. I never really thought of what song I’d dedicate to her but it would have to be ‘Tell Me It’s Real’ by K-Ci and JoJo.”

-Duayne Sayre, Business Admin, fourth year student

“Well I’m thinking of cooking for my boyfriend and just hanging out at home because that’s what he asked for. There’s a lot of nice songs out there to dedicate to a Valentine but I’d go with ‘Come Close’ by Common because he has a nice voice and he’s humble.”

-Aimee Alvarez, Communications Major, third year student

“My friend and I are going to get some sushi and she’s dragging me to watch ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ I would dedicate ‘Birthday Song’ by 2Chains and Kanye West to let her know how I feel about her.”

-Brandon Sanchez, Graphic Design and Marketing, second year

“I’m going to work for Valentine’s Day sadly but I would recommend to dedicate ‘Just the Way You Are’ by Bruno Mars to a special someone.”

-Elvia Gonzales, Biology, first year student

“I’m taking my valentine who I’ve had for seven years out to dinner but I can’t really say where because it would ruin the surprise. Lets take it back to the old days, I’d dedicate ‘Gracias Amor’ by Industria del Amor to my valentine.”

-Elmer Escobar, Political Science, third year student

“My plan is to have a wonderful time with my high school sweetheart wherever it is he takes me. I would dedicate ‘Thinking Out Loud’ By Ed Sheeran to my valentine.”

-Carmen Reyes, Nursing, fourth year student

Whether your valentine is a significant other, friend, or family member these Coyotes should get you on the right track on making the right decision for your plans for Valentine’s Day.
