According to the U.S. De partment of Education's website, TRIO is a federal outreach program providing student services and programs for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Dalia Hernandez, director of Upward Bound at CSUSB, is awaiting notification from the U.S. Department of Education for two of the three grants to fund the TRIO program. By Tommy McCardle | Contributing Writer | A fire destroyed the box truck owned by Empire Wrestling Federation (EWF) owner Jesse Hernandez during the early hours of Feb. 11. Hernandez was driving the box truck home from an EWF event that took place in Covina on Friday night when he discovered the fire. "A fire started in the rear of the truck where not only did it burn my [wrestling] ring, but also my PA system, lighting equipment and everything else," said Hernandez. Fortunately for Hernandez, the steel frame for the wrestling ring has been salvaged. By Tommy McCardle |Staff Writer| The 10th annual Inland Empire Disabilities Expo showcased new and innovative technologies to alleviate challenges the disabled community faces. The expo was on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino. Many vendors had tables set up with brochures, mini games to win prizes, and some demonstrations of devices. Outside of the main hall were vendors as well, including a small food court and petting zoo with a donkey. The Career Center, located in University Hall on the third floor in room 329, offers services such as resume building, job interview training, and personality assessments to match with majors for students fearful of entering the workforce. Jamie Butler, a well-known medium, presented "Communicating with Spirit" to CSUSB with the goal to inform students about channeling spirits. Robinson is also busy on the campaign trail running for City Council in the city of Upland, California. Robinson is a new professor on campus this fall quarter, however he isn't a new face to the educational institution. He was the associated vice president of Public Affairs for the school from 2002-2014.
