With finals week approaching, CSUSB students might be feeling physically exhausted and mentally drained as their assignments continue to pile up. If the pressure begins to feel unbearable, students have resources such as the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) available to them on campus. From cramming for exams to writing lengthy papers, it’s easy for students to get caught up in all of their work and to forget to take care of the most important thing: their health. “Run. Hide. Fight.” The University Police Department shares survival techniques

Do you know what to do in an active shooter situation? On Wednesday, January 29, the University Police Department (UPD) hosted a free course available to staff and students on how to survive during a violent attack. Within 15 minutes into the workshop, the room fell silent as students sat and listened to the audio recording of a 9-1-1 call that a teacher made during the Columbine High School massacre. They listened to the the teacher's panicked voice as she spoke to the dispatcher. Reminding students to stay safe on their college campus

What do Ted Bundy, John Norman Collins and Danny Harold Rolling have in common? They are all serial killers who attacked and murdered college students. With the recent attack that took place in the women’s restroom of the Pfau Library on January 14, I was reminded of these three men that targeted women on their own college campus. This act of violence also brought me back to an unsettling experience I had at CSUSB. On July 23, 2019, I walked to parking lot D to move my car closer to my next class.
