A small town connected in a big way

The water district is the life of small-town Twentynine Palms, California. According to District Secretary of Twentynine Palms’ Water District, Cindy Fowlkes, the town’s first water system was established in 1938. Fowlkes provided a history of the water district and conveyed that, in 1954, votes were made to develop combined public utilities. "This was the first government entity in town," says Fowlkes.
