Coachella: Why You Should Make One Trip in Your Lifetime

April 24, 2018 by Brittany Stiner Leave a Comment

Winter has disappeared, the rain has stopped and spring is finally here. When winter turns to spring, Coachella-goers come out of their 9-to-5 jobs and start prepping for the weekend of their lives. The 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will begin this Friday, April 13 and last through the weekend. Some make it an annual trip and travel from all parts of the world to go to this weekend festival in the desert, but some people are left out altogether and haven't even tasted a Coachella experience. I will never forget my first Coachella experience, piling into my best friend's Honda Accord back in 2013, packed to the brim with Coachella camping essentials, painting the back … [Read more...] about Coachella: Why You Should Make One Trip in Your Lifetime

A letter to our exes

November 13, 2017 by Brittany Stiner Leave a Comment

To our exes, We thank you for the endless nights of sitting up and wondering where you were. We thank you for never returning our texts, or leaving us on read. We thank you for making us cry, and making us feel like we were not important. We thank you for making yourself seem more important than we were to you. We thank you for flirting with our friends in front of our faces. We thank you for never being excited for us when something big happened in our lives. We thank you for putting our needs on the back burner to your world. We thank you for making us pay for your meals when you say “you’re on a budget,” we thank you for being so cheap. We thank you for putting us on blast in front of … [Read more...] about A letter to our exes

Mini Pecan tarts for the big Thanksgiving appetite!

November 10, 2017 by Brittany Stiner Leave a Comment

Thanksgiving is the time to bring your family and friends together, watch football, and consume unhealthy amounts of turkey. Yet, the best part about Thanksgiving has to be the dessert! Throw on those sweatpants and dive in to these mini pecan pie tarts that your whole family will be asking you to make for years to come. This recipe will make 18 mini pecan pie tarts. First and foremost, preheat the oven to 375 degrees, then grab all your ingredients. Ingredients needed include sugar, unsalted butter, pecans, vanilla extract, cream cheese, and flour. You will also need a hand mixer or a stand mixer, which I find easier to mix the ingredients together, and a mini muffin pan. You … [Read more...] about Mini Pecan tarts for the big Thanksgiving appetite!

October 16, 2017 by Brittany Stiner Leave a Comment

Being a college girl means we don’t have too much time to work or let alone get ready for class but what about the weekends when we want to let out the stress from all the work week and maybe even get ready for once? College takes a lot of time out of your week which makes it hard to work which means were all on a budget and maybe can’t afford those high-end brands and want to stick to those good Target finds. October 10, 2017 by Brittany Stiner Leave a Comment

To my fellow broke college girls: This fall quarter has been a rough one. But fear not, I'm here to tell you it can be better with the flavor of pumpkin spice. This time of year brings out the best in us, not only because it’s the season of being together and making memories, but because everything your heart desires is pumpkin flavored! Pumpkin flavoring at Starbucks costs 60 cents for just one pump of syrup, and $4.95 for a grande size. Venti size costs around $5.25, which is how much all these ingredients are going to cost you to make this classic beverage at home. Fall, in the Inland Empire, can get chilly really quick, and a warm cup of joe that is laced with pumpkin flavors is … [Read more...] about Broke College Girl’s Guide: DIY Pumpkin Spiced Coffee
