For Adrian Durell Jackson, online gaming is more than a leisurely activity, it is his life. Playing online games helped him get through the most difficult times of his adolescent years. Growing up in the Imperial Court Projects, a neighborhood where gang violence and drugs on the streets are common, Jackson could not have favorable childhood memories. He was always surrounded by people who would try to engage him in drugs and street violence. CSUSB Media lab helps students create content
Located in the basement of University Hall in UH-013, the media lab has grown into a hub for students enrolled in production classes. The three main courses in video production that take place in the media lab are Comm 245 in the fall, 345 in the winter, and 346 in the spring. 245 is the introduction to TV and Video. Here students are able to experience direct live on tape-recording, multiple camera operations and work within a control room. 12th Annual Snow Day Returns to CSUSB San Bernardino Campus
Snow Day returned to CSUSB for its 12th on the field of Commons year, allowing students to participate in snow activities, win prizes and spend time with friends. The event was originally scheduled for Jan. 12, but due to weather conditions, it was rescheduled to Feb. 12. Snow Day provides students with opportunities to enjoy the snow without having to plan a trip to the mountains. Visiting snow resorts, such as Mt. High or Snow Valley can be costly, but with Snow Day students can experience snowboarding, sledding, and throw snowballs at their friends. Kaiser Permanente provides CSUSB with grant in efforts to increase mental health professionals
Inland Empire residents can breath a sigh of relief as CSUSB received part of a $6 million grant to propel graduate students looking to work locally into becoming licensed mental health professionals. The grant was offered by Kaiser Permanente Southern California to CSUSB and 15 other community partners from Kern, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles Counties to improve mental and behavioral services in under-resourced Southern California areas. City of Redlands opens its first skatepark after 13 years of planning
After 13 long awaited years, the city of Redlands opened its first skatepark to the community on Jan. 26. Mayor Paul W.
