*waiting for interview response* The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa is an iconic landmark of the Inland Empire. Full of both local and international history, it is a living testament to the story of Riverside and the inhabitants that surround it. Every year, this timeless destination gets into the holiday spirit by putting on a six-week celebration that includes a street festival down the Main Street pedestrian mall, horse carriage rides, and its main attraction: the hotel decked floor to ceiling with thousands of glittering Christmas lights. The Signs and Their Most Compatible Partners

November 20, 2017 by Ash Casillas Leave a Comment

Aries: Leo is the quintessential partner for the ram. Leos are able to keep Aries' eyes on the prize. Their conversations tend to be erratic and passionate because they share so many of the same values. Leo also doesn’t mind dealing with Aries’ fiery arguments as Libra is also grounded in their own flame. Both these signs' stubborn willpower make them great partners for the first sign of the zodiac. Taurus: Cancer, for Taurus, can provide an almost immediate and dynamic sense of trust for this sign. This trust stems from both of the signs wanting to creating a home and life within their partner. Their ability to adapt to each other as they develop within a relationship will make their … [Read more...] about The Signs and Their Most Compatible Partners

Easy Mermaid Inspired Look for Halloween

October 17, 2017 by Ash Casillas Leave a Comment

As a college student, finding the time and money to create a Halloween costume might not go exactly as planned. This DIY mermaid look is an easy go-to that can fit into your busy mid-quarter schedule right after a midterm and be ready in time for that big Halloween party. For this look, I used NYX liquid suede lipsticks in the shades "Respect the Pink" LSCL13 and "Little Denim Dress" LSCL16, but you can also use any purple lipstick or creme makeup. I also used a light purple metallic eyeshadow, a dark purple eyeshadow, and a fishnet wig cap or set of stockings. Step 1: Follow your normal foundation and eyebrow routine. Don't forget to set everything with a powder before moving on to … [Read more...] about Easy Mermaid Inspired Look for Halloween

October 17, 2017 by Ash Casillas Leave a Comment

In light of recent events, the term disaster awareness has become a frequent and urgent topic of discussion among students and our university's faculty. Disaster awareness, for our campus, concerns both natural and man-made disasters that could potentially be a threat to the well being of our community. Knowledge is the most important thing that we have. We should have gun safety training in the same way that we have sexual harassment awareness training each year. What we have is good, but … [Read more...] about Vox Pop: How Safe is our Campus?
