While your turkeys were in the oven this Thanksgiving season, choirs from across the United States were gearing up for Disneyland’s 60th annual Candlelight Processional. This holiday extravaganza is a musical retelling of the story of “The First Christmas” through song and scripture, and features a mass choir as the centerpiece of the show. CSUSB’s department of Theater Arts began its 2017-2018 season with the unforgettable production of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The live performance ran from Friday, Nov. 10 to Sunday, Nov. 19 and took place at The Barnes Theater. The play delivered wonderful performances, a splash of humor, drama and a dose of magic brought to life. Terry Donovan Smith, a professor of Theater Arts, directed The Tempest. Punk band "Fall Out Boy" came to rock The Forum arena in Inglewood on Friday, Nov. 17. Opening acts Jaden Smith and Blackbear stirred up the crowd before the headlining band’s entrance. The arena opened its doors early enough for people to head over to their seats before the 7 p.m. showtime. Many attendees strolled in with enthusiastic vibes while showing off the band’s logo plastered on their shirts. The much anticipated film Justice League was released to theaters on Nov 17. Justice League was originally supposed to be directed by Zack Snyder, but due to the recent tragic death of his daughter, Snyder chose to step down as director of the movie. Joss Whedon took reigns and filled in as director of the movie for the remainder of its production. Justice League has been received with many mixed reviews, leaving many comic book fans divided. Lindsay B, a solo artist by the name of Lindsay Baffo, is a musician from LA who creates infectious garage power-pop. For Baffo, this isn't her first musical project. Latin Night is just around the corner, as it will be taking place on Friday, Nov. 17 at the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) Lobby and Events Center, where everyone is invited to dance the night away to Latin music.
