I will never forget the hour,
The news of my 3rd blooming flower.
You helped me lose sight of my sour,
Delighted me proud as a tower.
I smiled, I danced and I dreamed,
My pain seemed to be all redeemed!
My heart had ignited! It beamed!
For only a moment it seemed.
I held you, I kissed you, embraced you,
I loved you, I wished you; I’ll miss you.
A flower you were in my eyes,
My heart now affectionately cries.
I question, I search for the why’s,
For comfort I look to the skies.
T’was saddened to hear you had left,
Heartbroken to deal with the rest.
I know by my Lord you were blest,
Still, pain-staking hard to digest.
You came in the night while the moon shining bright,
And soared off in flight giving up your birthright.
I know I will see you again,
Together we’ll sing an “Amen!”
How long will it be? Don’t know when…
Until I embrace you again.
