“Less is more” when it comes to CSUSB student’s Spring fashion

By Dalal Museitef |Asst. Features Editor| Lengthy layers, Doc Marten boots and patterned pants are swarming the halls of CSUSB in this year’s Spring fashion trends. At times, implementing bright colors into your wardrobe can make or break your outfit unless you’ve mastered it with confidence and correctness. By Mary Moreno |Staff Writer| Thrift shopping is an affordable way to spruce up your wardrobe while on a students budget. For this article I invested $20 to see if I could build an entire outfit from thrifted items. The location I choose was ECO Thrift on E. st. in San Bernardino. ECO Thrift was packed to the brim with shoppers which was unexpected on a Wednesday at noon. I examined each rack of clothing carefully, first the dresses, then the skirts. This year’s fall trends vary from textures and patterns to simple pairings of leathers and over-sized sweaters. Fashion magazines, such as Cosmopolitan and Vogue, are filled with runway-inspired outfits. Some of these features include eye-catching outerwear, leopard prints, hat accessories, leathers and layering. Bold furs and sweaters make eye-catching statements.
