"Amazing," shouted Partyn Mckee, as she looked at one of the 50 large moving Dino animatronics at the Jurassic Empire exhibit in Victorville at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds on February 15. Partyn and her father Greg decided to join the early morning crowd to look at the fifty large moving Dino animatronics that the Jurassic Empire puts together. From Camarasaurus to the Tyrannosaurus Rex to the Velociraptor, the detailed dinosaurs brought excited children of all ages with their parents and grandparents. The National Reptilian Expo took place on Mar. 2nd and 3rd at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville, Calif. The event happens at this location biannually and has become ones of the popular local events for friends and family time. While the main idea of an expo is for vendors to present a selected item for selling and trading, it can also become an educational experience for any attendee, as all the vendors are willing to answer any questions someone may have. "Investigators received over 250 anonymous tips via e-mail, WeTip, and phone calls," according to San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon "More than 4,500 pages of investigative documents were compiled, 60 search warrants and more than 200 interviews were conducted before Merritt was arrested. Commuters from high desert are being ignored by Commuter Services
By Lynn Post |Staff Writer| As if the cost of tuition wasn't enough, students who live in the High Desert are getting the short end of the stick due to lack of public transportation options. On average students spend $100 a week, or more, on gas to attend classes at CSUSB. Student Mathew Ford said, “I stay down here during the week because its too expensive to drive back and forth.” Commuter services needs to address the issue and increase communication to students about their services.
