Campus community’s preparation for intramural sports
Did you know that the CSUSB Recreation and Wellness Center has more to offer besides the fitness floor? In addition to the dance, yoga, grappling, self-defense, body sculpting, butts n guts and cycling classes, the Recreation and Wellness Center has intramural sports as well. Intramural sports allow students, faculty and alumni to play the sport they love without the commitment because it’s all in the fun. CSUSB offers a variety of resources and many times are inclusive for anyone and everyone, yet students lack the information or knowledge to access these resources. Many students don’t know that they are already paying for these resources and can access them by showing their student ID. The campus offers the gym, health center, and writing labs with plenty of events throughout the school year that prepare students for things such as entering the workforce, getting help on assignments, and information on nutrition to students looking to improve their diet and overall health. Recreation Center brought snow to CSUSB
San Bernardino- Recreation and Wellness center at CSUSB hosted their annual Snow Day event for the community to experience. To kick off the new year, faculty unloaded chunks of snow for students, staff, alumni, and residents to enjoy by the lower commons, on Thursday, January 23. The event has been a tradition of the campus for over 15 years. When the event started at noon, people were already in line to be able to take part in the festivities. Overall, about 600 people attended the event and were given Snow Day Passports which gave them the opportunity to win t-shirts, beanies, food tickets, and raffles tickets.
