Referring to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, almost 20 percent of Americans ages 65 and older are now working. War on drugs proves costly

A 2013 study by Rasmussen Reports showed that 82 percent of Americans think the U.S. is not winning the drug war. Since the beginning of the drug war in 1971, under the Nixon administration, the U.S. has spent over one trillion dollars, according to CNN. The U.S. has the highest incarceration rate per capita in the world, according to prb.com. Meanwhile, the violent crime rate has been at its lowest since 1978, according to Time magazine.
