16-year old climate activist, Greta Thunberg of Stockholm, Sweden has become the subject of political debate concerning climate change. On September 23, 2019, she gave a speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York City and called on the leaders of the world to address the growing danger of climate change. Every student’s perspective on politics is different, but equally important. Students and young adults are encouraged by society to become more aware of the politics in their community and understand their voice makes a difference. “On a scale of one to five, five being the most important, voting is a two,” said student Tyler Nguyen.
