Inflation in the USA and how it affects our atmosphere

A stronger economy generates inflation. The more people there are buying goods, the higher the demand on goods. Companies meet that increasing demand for increasing the supply of goods. People must be defended from the threats imposed by known cancer-causing toxins like benzene, VOCs that increase ozone levels, and methane that is over 80 times more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 in the first twenty years – increasing temperature, which then increases ozone levels another step further. Minimum wage should go up

By Janeth Jaimes |Staff Writer| Low-wage workers and low-income families would benefit significantly from the minimum wage increase to $10 an hour by 2016, as proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. I believe an increase in the minimum wage will be helpful for the working class by boosting the family income of low-wage workers. The increase will help Americans maintain a good quality of life to support their families. Gas prices up 83% since 2009

By Brenda Acuna |Staff Writer| Unless you drive a Prius, Southern Californians have a lot to complain about in terms of gas prices. With the average price of gasoline at $4.282 in the Inland Empire, the holes in my pockets keep getting deeper and deeper. As a daily driver and commuter to CSUSB, I drive roughly between 80-100 miles a day. I commute five days a week to school and I absolutely hate having to spend so much on gas. I drive a fuel efficient 2012 Honda Civic and I still have to fill up my gas tank every 3-4 days. According to a AAA report, gas prices have risen for 32 days straight, and show no signs of abating.
