By Natalie Padron |Staff Writer| Cannes legendary actor, Jean-Pierree Léaud, who debuted in 1959, will be presented with the honorary Palme d’or (French for Golden Palm) award at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. The event once known as the International Film Festival, until 2002, is now the Festival De Cannes, as they say in French, and it previews footage of upcoming films that cover the whole spectrum of genres. This annual invitation-only gathering of talents was founded in 1946 and put into action in 1947 with films from 16 different countries. Haecheol Jang |Staff Writer| Almost 3.1 million children die from hunger each year, according to the World Food Program. Every year, 2.3 billion tons of food is wasted, according to World Food Day. It is ironic that many people die from hunger with so much food wasted. Some people waste their food, but some people die because there is no food to eat. Why does this problem still exist? There are some reasons for this problem, according to Jean Ziegler. One of the reasons is war. In the case of Somalia, the country has been in anarchy since 1991, and there are many militarists fighting each other. When Max Levy had a metal plate inserted in his chest to assist his battle against hemophilia, he quickly realized, "I'm Iron Man!," according to an article on nbc.news.com. Marvel writers got wind of the story when #IronMax appeared on social media. CSUSB students have many opportunities throughout the year available to them through the College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA), “Doing business in Asia or Europe” programs. If you have never had the opportunity to travel, CSUSB wants you to do so in an educational environment. Take it from me it’s a must on your college experience list. Paris auto show to grace City of Angels

Before visiting California, automakers are all at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in France to unveil their latest models to the public. Every two years, automakers bring their latest production and concept cars to Paris to show them to the public and to car journalists from all over the world.
