Over the last month, millions of Americans have cast their votes on whether to keep President Trump at the White House or to elect a new leader for the nation. By Richard Mejia and Francesca Guidote Several students of CSUSB are still discussing their opinions on the first 2020 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden that took place last week on September 29. Many students found the presidential debate unusual, in comparison to the previous debates. Jenevieve Loera, a fourth-year mathematics major stated, "I could not tell if it was a debate or if it was a yelling contest. I can not really remember what the questions even were." 8 Dead and 11 Injured in NYC Terrorist Attack
A driver of a pickup truck charged down a popular bike path in Manhattan on Tuesday leaving eight people dead and 11 injured. The truck driver was shot in the stomach by a NYPD officer after running into a school bus and leaving the truck. It is the deadliest terrorist attack in New York since the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings on Sept. 11, 2001. Police identified the terrorist as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov. After crashing into the bus, Saipov ran down the roadway, waving a paintball gun and a pellet gun while yelling, "Allahu akbar." California’s health insurance to see an increase

Premiums for insurance plans sold on Covered California will increase by an average of 13.2 percent next year. San Bernardino and Riverside Counties will have an average premium increase of 10.1 percent. Students have their opinions about Propositions (Prop.) 64 and 63, which discusses marijuana legalization and gun control.
