With spring coming to an end and summer right around the corner, we need to start thinking about ways to stay in style and keep track of the fast-changing fashion trends, including hairstyles.

There are so many different types of hairstyles for both men and women. I’d encourage you to try new things to spice things up and mix your style up a little from time to time.

This way you don’t look the same, day in and day out.

Trends are constantly changing for both men and women.

Women- Messy Curls

Some hairstyle ideas are loose, messy curls. The perfect curls for summer are laid back waves that can be done with any hair length.

The way to get loose curls is to wrap your hair around the curling iron in strands, hold the hair in place for a few seconds and then let the curl drop.

Continue with the same process, alternating the directions of the curl.

This style works best with girls who have straight hair, as they won’t have to find a way to hide their natural curls.

Messy Side Bun

Another hairdo that is not time consuming is a messy side bun that can be perfect for next day hair to avoid having a bad hair day.

To get this look, put your hair in a side ponytail and then twist it, creating a bun. The last step is to wrap an elastic band around it, as well as placing bobby pins to hold it in place.

This look can work with a moderate hair length. The hair should be able to be pulled to the side and wrapped to get the bun look.

It can be done on either any hair type. There is no specification between straight, curly, thin or thick hair. It can work on any and every hair type.

Half Up, Loose Wave

The process goes as follows: First, pull your hair back and leave about two inches out in the front and part to the side.

Clip half of your hair at the crown.

This hairstyle is for any length as long as it’s able to curl and pin up at the crown. So it probably won’t work that well with a pixie cut.

Side Pony Tail

Making the predictable ponytail a little different is easier than ever before.

Pull your hair to the side and at about chin length, wrap an elastic band around it. Then just loosen the ponytail and you’re done!

To accomplish this hairstyle, hair should be at a length in which you are able to pull it to the side and tie it into a ponytail.

Men- Vintage Look

The vintage looks formal and is very easy to do.

The only thing you need is a comb and product to hold your hair in place, which varies with your hair type.

A part of the vintage look is to have hair longer on the top and a tapered undercut.

The look can also be considered preppy and hipster.

This hairstyle even works with short hair. You can part it and comb it over even if it’s shorter than the expected length for this look.

Thick Wavy Hair

For men with thick wavy hair, a short cut is the best way to keep the curls and waves under control when humidity gives the hair unwanted volume.

If you keep the top longer than the sides, it brings out your natural waves and thickness, which is a natural easy look to maintain.

For a wavier, defined look, simply comb over your hair.

Men with wavy hair should try their best to maintain its natural texture. Wearing it a little longer only increases the volume which can be a desirable look in men.

Short Haircuts

When men have short hair, it can be plain and boring, but it doesn’t have to be.

There are ways to keep the look unique and different from the simple look it usually has.

If you cut your hair short, try to keep the top a little longer than the sides. This allows a man to be able to style it if he’d like and still look fine if he doesn’t.

For thick, coarse hair the best short haircut would be to use a fade in order to tame the thickness.

A boxy crewcut is also a trendy hairstyle for men right now. It is similar to a military style look but a bit longer.

Beard

Men can also try to change things up by incorporating a beard into their normal hairstyle.

Growing a beard is best for men who can grow thick, full looking beards. However, if you have thinner hair, a beard will still work especially if you have a 5 o’clock shadow.

Try experimenting with different styles until you find the right look for you.
