Kidnapping incident near CSUSB

By Marion GilĀ |News Editor|

A woman was kidnapped Monday, March 9 at the Sunrise Apartments across the street from CSUSB.

Sahray Astina Barber’s roommates found her belongings scattered on the lawn outside their apartment.

After calling her work, they found that she had not reported in that day.

While no data has been found to confirm that Barber is a student or works at CSUSB, many students live at Sunrise Apartments.

San Bernardino Police are currently investigating the incident as a missing person case.

A campus-wide e-mail was sent to students, faculty and staff Tuesday, March 10 at about 11 a.m.

If anyone has any information regarding the incident or Barber herself, they are urged to call University Police at 909-537-5165.
