From phones to tablets, rumor has it that an Apple iPad Mini is on its way.
I am all for new products and technology, but I do not understand the need for an iPad Mini.
Reports speculate that the features will include IOS 6 software, it will be able to run all applications and games offered and will only be able to surf the Internet through Wi-Fi connection.
With the good comes the bad; there has been talk that the iPad Mini will not have 4G speed, will not have a slick resolution retina display or as much power as the iPad.
“I don’t get why they would make a product with less features,” said student Alexis Lopez. “It seems like a waste of money to me.”
Hopefully, these rumors are just rumors and it will have the newest technology.
Otherwise, what would be the point of buying something that expensive if it doesn’t do all the things your current device can do?
“I am an average young American,” said student Paul Rodriguez. “I need to have the latest gadget out and get it right when it is released.”
I have many friends who are exactly like Rodriguez. They feel the need to get the latest product right away, even if the one they have now is working perfectly fine.
Maybe it is a certain feature or the slicker look, but I do not understand why people feel the need to buy the latest item as soon as it comes out.
We all know that there will always be an upgrade from your current device, especially with Apple. After the release of the iPhone 4, about six months later there was an upgrade to the iPhone 4S.
The rumors about the iPad Mini started when Apple sent out invitations for the Oct. 23 revealing of a new product stating “We’ve got a little more to show you.”
It seems there is most likely going to be an iPad Mini. This so-called launch date is definitely believable, due to the fact that the holiday season is right around the corner.
If Apple launched the iPad Mini on Nov. 2, I believe they will have a great turnout of consumers adding onto the Christmas shoppers looking to buy the iPhone 5 around that time of year.
All we can do is wait and see what Apple’s little surprise is all about.
