The Student and Recreation Fitness Center (Rec Center) offers Hip Hop group exercise classes. Ready to improve your dancing skills or looking to learn some awesome hip hop dance moves?
The exercise group classes are a must when they are as fun as Hip Hop.
Not only are you benefiting from social inclusion and psychological support, but you are also getting a great workout.
Hip hop dance classes are guided by instructor Lizzie, a CSUSB Alumni. Lizzie has been teaching the class for three years, as well as teaching Jazz dance classes.
“Hip Hop at the Rec Center is an open level hip hop class designed to have fun,” said Lizzie.
The class is designed for the every-day dancer or the dancer with no experience.
The dance class starts off with a warm-up to get the heart rate going, as well as stretching to not pull muscles.
From then on participants are instructed to learn different dance moves and dances.
Lizzie goes over step by step and repeats each step so everyone can learn, Lizzie also breaks down each of the eight count to make sure all participants understand the dance.
At the end, participants enjoy putting all of the steps together with the music and overall dance.
The participants and dance instructor go all out with the dances and have a blast.
The class is an hour long every Wednesday at 5pm. Classes are located at the Rec Center room 205.
Don’t miss out on this great class!
