Authentic Indian cuisine, music and dance filled the SMSU Events Center Friday night, March 9.
A full-bellied crowd observed multiple choreographed Indian style dances during the first hour of the event. Women outfitted in traditional Indian dress showcased their rehearsed talents to the audience.
Male and female performers got their Bhaṅgṛā on as the crowd was treated to an array of Indian style cooking that was served as a delicious complimentary treat.
A drum performance was also conducted on an Indian percussion instrument that reverberated through the sound system that the spirited festivities were dispersed by.
Although I couldn’t stay long, the event transcended anyone who attended to a genuine Indian festival albeit taking place right here at CSUSB.
