“Usually from other people, or music I hear on TV. I do not use specific sites online or watch music channels. I usually watch commercials, and if i like it, I just look it up on Google. I just type the band name of the commercial and eventually find it.”

“I use the site called 4shared. I download new music [from] there. Also there is an application called Naver and it allows me to search the name of songs I like; by getting my cell phone near to where the music came, and it simply finds the album and the singer so I can hear it again later. Moreover, I look up Billboard charts to find if some singers came back with new music.”

Latrice Henderson, Senior

“I usually discover music through radio or if I have a favorite artist, I just follow the artist by listening to their music. I usually just Google music and then download it on Itunes.”

    SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Last.fm, Bandcamp, Songkick.
TV and radio only push Top-40 music that's in the charts or 'popular' genres like Pop, Rap, RnB and House. If you want to expand your tastes, go beyond what's being pushed onto you and seek things out on your own.
