Student-athlete from Mexico discusses her volleyball career

Melissa Garciglia from La Paz, Mexico, explained her volleyball journey from when she was a child to the challenges she faced when she attended college in California.  Q: What made you want to play volleyball? A: My dad was a well-known volleyball player in La Paz and throughout Mexico. He even got the chance to try out for the national volleyball team. Late-Night Event Returns After Covid Moratorium

For the first time since 2019, California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) held its annual, Late Night event welcoming back students and faculty on January 27th, 2023 for a night of celebration and fun. Due to the recent COVID pandemic, CSUSB was able to hold its annual Late Night campus event for the first time since 2019. On January 27th, 2023, at 6 p.m. in the CSUSB parking lot, Late Night celebrated the new spring semester by welcoming staff members, faculty members, students, and guests to enjoy a night full of music, carnival rides, roller skating, caricature artists, and even some tasty food. Opinion: Coronavirus risks outweigh the gains with bringing kids back into the classroom

They say patience is a virtue and it could also be a life-saver when it comes to bringing kids back to the classroom. As fall turns to winter with no COVID-19 vaccine available, many local K-12 schools move closer to reopening in-person classes. School officials and teachers are working on plans to do it safely, but the safest and smartest thing to do would be to wait. We can all agree that kids need to be together so they can socialize and be around other kids. It is also common knowledge that most kids do better with in-person learning rather than online classes.
