California Cancels Contract with Walgreens over Abortion Ban

On March 8, California announced that it will no longer continue its 54 million-dollar contract due to differences in Abortion beliefs. In a groundbreaking move, California has canceled its contract with Walgreens, the largest drugstore chain in the United States, over its recent ban on providing abortion medication services. The decision, which comes amidst a heated national debate on reproductive rights, has sparked outrage and praise from different quarters of the state. CSUSB Student, Opens A Nonprofit Organization In San Bernardino County

The Key Nonprofit is a nonprofit organization that offers resources to those in need, it was founded in October of 2022, by Maite Valenzuela, a senior here at California State University, San Bernardino. With much success, Valenzuela has been able to help hundreds of people in our community. The shelter is located in Chino, California, but has reached out to many surrounding cities.  Valenzuela has shared her experience and some of the difficulties of opening up this nonprofit while being a full-time student. “Honestly, what motivated me the most to start this nonprofit was my three kids. Operation Consequences continues to be successful in San Bernardino County

From January 21 to January 27, the San Bernardino Sheriff's department carried out Operation Consequences, which targets crime suppression in the High Desert area. CSUSB officer shares what it is like working in the police department and with his K-9, Vader

On Tuesday, March 5, Officer Manuel Aguirre demonstrated explosive detection on the Pfau Library lawn area and shared his daily routine with his K-9, Vader. Vader is a two year old Labrador Retriever and specializes in explosive detection with his partner Officer Aguirre. Vader had the opportunity to train with LAPD in the past and also interacts very well with other dogs.
